A night of disastrous defensive lapses allowed the Chicago Bulls to dismantle the Lakers offensively. Struggling to mount a comeback, they fell 146-115.
Luka Dončić dominated early, scoring 29 of his 34 points in the first half while adding eight rebounds and six assists. Austin Reaves contributed 25 points and five assists.
LeBron James had a sluggish start, finishing with 17 points, six rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Jaxson Hayes contributed 10 points, four rebounds, and two assists.
Chicago’s Coby White started strong, making all four of his shots. Austin then delivered a perfect pass to Dorian Finney-Smith for a dunk.

Luka drained his third three-pointer of the quarter, bringing his total to 15 points. White remained flawless from the field until he missed a three-pointer. By the end of the first, the Purple and Gold trailed by one.

Jarred Vanderbilt struggled during his minutes, playing sloppy and committing two turnovers. LeBron also had a tough stretch, forcing some errant passes, while Dorian picked up his third foul.
Jaxson checked back in and brought a spark, delivering dunks and disrupting Chicago’s shots. The Bulls capitalized on Los Angeles’ sloppy play, scoring 12 points off 10 turnovers. With little defensive resistance, Chicago continued to get any shot they wanted.
Rui Hachimura provided a crucial five points for L.A., while Luka sank his eighth three-pointer of the night. Despite the offensive boost, the Lakers kept giving the Bulls too many easy scoring opportunities.
Through three quarters, the Bulls dominated the paint with 58 points compared to the Lakers’ 36. L.A. struggled to close the quarter strong and fell behind by 15.
